Cancellation Policy
Leaving should be as easy as joining.
No hoops, no phone calls, no hidden buttons. Here’s exactly how it works.
How to cancel
Sign in to your client portal and choose Manage subscription, or email info@dontclickthis.link. You’ll see a confirmation screen explaining what happens before anything is final.
When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You keep everything you’re paying for until that date.
There is no minimum commitment — it’s month to month.
Upcoming charges
After you cancel, no further monthly charges are made. The payment already made for the current period is not pro-rated.
What happens to the website
Your subscription keeps your website hosted, maintained, supported and online. After the last day of service the website is taken offline — it is not immediately deleted.
After the last paid day the website is taken offline. Files and data are kept for 30 days in case you come back, then they can be permanently deleted. Your own content (text, images, logos) is always yours to keep.
Website and file retention
Website files and data are retained for 30 days after cancellation or suspension, then they can be permanently deleted. Come back within that window and everything is restored as it was.
Keeping the website (buyout)
While your subscription is active you have full, exclusive use of your website. The design and underlying code stay mine until they are bought out. If you cancel, the site goes offline. If you want to keep it permanently, there is a one-time buyout equal to 10 months of your monthly plan — you then receive the site files and code and I help you move them to your own hosting. Your content, brand and domain are always yours either way.
Your domain
Your domain is yours. If you already own it, it stays in your account and we simply point it at your site. If I buy it for you, it is registered on your behalf and transferred to you free of charge whenever you ask, as long as your account has no unpaid balance. Domain renewal fees are included while your subscription is active.
Suspension vs. cancellation
A failed payment is not a cancellation. If a payment fails you get a 30-day grace period with reminders before the website is temporarily suspended. If a payment is not resolved within the 30-day grace period, your website is temporarily suspended — taken offline, not deleted. Paying the outstanding balance brings it straight back.
Reactivation
A suspended website can be reactivated by resolving the outstanding payment, subject to the retention policy above. Once payment goes through, your status returns to active and the site comes back online.
